This chair is an excellent basic chair for a Big and/or Tall person. To get this weight rating (500 lbs) usually starts around $600.00 for other chairs. I bought the blue hoping the picture was not correct and I was happy when I saw the color. The actual color of the blue is not as bright-more navy less royal, much more suitable for office decor. I have been using mine for about 2 months at a desk in a retail enviroment; lots of up and down but lots of sitting as well on a concrete floor and no problems at all. Will buy another for my home as well.
